Third Round Table, 2 – 4 July 2012 on project "Increasing the efficiency of the "Coordination of fight against infringements affecting the financial interests of the EU (AFCOS) Directorate in Ministry of Interior", funded under the Operational Programme Technical Assistance 2 – 4 July 2012, Aheloy
The event was attended by:

- Officials from the Directorate General Criminal Police;
- Regional structures of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Smolyan;
- District Prosecutors’ Offices – Burgas, Yambol, Smolyan;
- Officials from the Public Financial Inspection Agency;
- Representatives of the Municipalities of Burgas, Pomorie, Sozopol;

The participants discussed issues related to improvement of the operational cooperation between the institutions at European, National and Regional levels.
The focus of the discussions was on the increase of the efficiency in the fight against fraud affecting the financial interests of the European Union in the Southeastern Planning Region. The discussed topics concerned the investigations conducted by OLAF under Regulation 1073/99 and on the spot checks in the Member States in accordance with Regulation 2185/96 as well as the problems related to their implementation in accordance with the National legislation in Slovakia and Bulgaria and the measures to be undertaken by the competent national authorities.
